TITLE:
The
Promise and Perils of Communication Technologies
● DESCRIPTION:
We will examine the promise
and perils of communication technologies, including their various uses by
groups who promoted creativity and commerce, who worked for democratic reforms, who sought to
conceal or justify illegal and immoral activities, or who unethically
scrutinized and profited from personal
communications and private information. Some of the texts that
we will draw on include Lori Andrews’ I
